About Me
My name is Savannah Gulick and I am a student at the University of Cincinnati. I am majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Spanish and a certificate in International Human Rights and will graduate in 2019. I am also in the University Honors Program and I am also an Honors Ambassador. I am from the Cincinnati area and have three siblings: two older brothers and one younger sister. My family is extremely important to me, even though my brothers don't live at home anymore and they travel a lot due to them being pilots in the Air Force yet all four of us remain extremely close and I hope to instill that quality into my future family as well. As a student, I hope to maintain above a 3.5 GPA as well as be a well-rounded student.
I am passionate about traveling and learning about other cultures. I have been abroad twice once to Costa Rica and once to Ecuador. The trips were mainly mission based and I absolutely loved that aspect of them and also both times I stayed with a homestay. The homestays were another favorite part of mine because they allowed me to experience the culture on a first hand basis. I am also interested in governments and how they work together on an international base.
My goals for the future are to pursue either graduate school or law school after joining the Peace Corps. My dream career would be either to work for an international non-profit such as UNICEF or be an international human rights lawyer. I hope that through my experiences at UC and UHP I will be able to figure out which of my dream careers would be my best fit. My ultimate goal is to be able to help people from around the world and create a better unity amongst cultures.
